About the Trip
Our First Group Camping Experience
This was our first-ever group camping experience—and it was such a solid one! ⛺✨ We camped at Vista Tarih in Dinalupihan, Bataan—a peaceful site surrounded by trees and cool mountain air. The location is beginner-friendly but still gives off that raw, natural camping vibe that makes the experience feel real.
What made this trip extra special was the company: shared laughs, lots (and lots) of food, and genuine conversations under the stars. We got to set up as a group, cook together, and enjoy a slow, meaningful break from the usual routine.
We also brought a proper storage box for the first time—which sounds small, but wow, it changed everything. With less clutter and more organized gear, we had more time and energy to just enjoy the trip.
Camping Gear We Used and How It Helped
Since this was a group setup, we brought a mix of essentials for solo use and items we could share across tents and cooking areas. Here are some of the highlights from our current setup:
Naturehike Village 6 Tent
Still our go-to tent for every trip. It’s roomy, easy to set up (especially now that we’ve had some practice), and it handled the cool Bataan breeze like a champ. Perfect for family use and spacious enough for a comfortable night’s sleep.
Storage Box
This was our first time bringing a proper storage box for our gear—and it changed everything. No more loose items scattered around. It kept our setup clean and made packing, unpacking, and even cooking more efficient.
Group Cooking Gear
Funny story—we actually forgot to bring our stove for this trip. 😂 Thankfully, we were with the Balingit fam, and they had us covered. From big pans to grilling gear, everyone chipped in and shared what they had. It turned into a true group cooking experience, filled with teamwork, shared meals, and even more laughs around the table.
Lighting Setup
We brought our trusty string lights and portable lanterns to light up the shared space. The soft lighting made the whole camp feel warm and inviting, perfect for late-night conversations and chill outdoor dinners.
Foldable Chairs
We made sure to bring extra chairs this time, but somehow it still wasn’t enough—haha. Foldable chairs are always a must for lounging, eating, or just hanging out. Definitely something we’ll keep upgrading as our group gets bigger.
Camping with a group brings a different kind of joy—more food, more stories, and more laughs. Vista Tarih gave us the space and setting to slow down and connect, not just with nature but with the people around us. Whether you’re a first-timer or someone planning a chill family weekend, this spot is definitely worth checking out.
